Super Smash Bros 3ds Glitches
11/12/2014
Like any video game, the recently released Super Smash Bros. for 3ds has a couple of glitches. Along with assorted minor ones, there are also three big ones that have been discovered. They are:
Peach Disqualifacation
Though this glitch has been fixed in a post-release patch, it's still quite interesting so I included it in this article. One of the battle modes in the game is called For Glory. This mode takes place on the Final Destination stage with no items, similarly to a Master boss battle at the end of Classic mode. Peach's down special attack is to pull a turnip out of the ground and throw it. The game's code counted this as an item and thus, any player who attempted to play as Peach in For Glory was instantly disqualified, even if they didn't use the down-special attack.
Giant Yoshi
This next glitch involves a Yoshi growing to immense proportions. In the 10 man smash mode, you fight 9 mii fighters and then a larger version of yourself. It has been found discovered that sometimes when Yoshi's special attack, eating fighters and turning them into eggs, is used against the AI yoshi, it will grow larger upon hatching.
Here's a video of the glitch:
136 Year Ban
The final glitch can actually harm your gameplay experience and should be avoided. In the online multiplayer modes if you quit in the middle of a match or target a specific person in a battle with 3 or more players, you are temporarily banned from online play. Though this may seem like a nice feature to deter bad sportsmanship, it occasionally glitches and bans you for 71,582,719 minutes, or 136 years ,instead of the usual 15 minute ban.
I hope you found this article interesting and informative. If you see any mistakes or have found a cool glitch I didn't post, please let me know in the comments.
